Dangel, 50 years of expertise
An iconic brand
Our history
It all starts with the passion of a man, Henry DANGEL, for automobiles and competition. Since the 1960s, Henry Dangel has designed and built racing cars, the Mangoustes, as well as suspension kits for Alpine Renault.
After a stint at BBS, he envisions a concept that anticipates a new market need: the marriage between road performance and off-road capabilities. He installs a transmission of his own design on a production vehicle: the Peugeot 504... The Lion brand is convinced, marking the birth of Automobiles Dangel in 1980!
From its inception, the company focuses on quality and decides to ensure complete control over the process of producing its products. Automobiles Dangel thus brings together design, production, and marketing at its site.
Immediately, commercial success is on the horizon, particularly with strong partnerships with numerous administrations and companies that have become enthusiastic. Like some artisans or farmers, users appreciate the comfort, versatility, and efficiency of these 4x4s, which are at ease on all terrains and in any season. With a Dangel vehicle, they finally have an answer to their needs.
The success is also athletic, with participation in raids and other great African adventures, giving Dangel equipment its first letters of nobility.
Today, Dangel is a Tier 2 manufacturer and a partner of Stellantis. We transform utility vehicles from the brands Citroën, Fiat, Opel, and Peugeot by enhancing their drivability, raising them, and protecting them. Electric 4x4 transmission, limited-slip differential, no matter the technology, what matters is the satisfaction of our users.
Our clients? Craftsmen, farmers, large companies in the fields of energy, construction, telecommunications, mail delivery, etc.
